Soka Gakkai International Belgium a.s.b.l./v.z.w. has the great pleasure of presenting the exhibition “Everything You Treasure - For a World Free From Nuclear Weapons” created in collaboration with ICAN (International Campaign for the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons), laureate of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017.

This 2025 initiative comes in the year marking the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan on August 6 and 9, 1945, and the Anderlecht municipality's membership in the Mayors for Peace network and the signing of the ICAN Cities Appeal, as voted by the municipal council on June 26.

The exhibition will be open to the public on the following dates:

  • Saturday, September 20, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, September 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 24, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday, September 26, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, September 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Buddhism

The Soka Gakkai International is a religious movement based on the writings of Nichiren Daishonin, a Japanese Buddhist monk who lived in the 13th Century.
Nichiren, who carried out an in-depth study and analysis of the Buddhist teachings , was convinced that the Lotus Sutra, which affirms the unlimited potential of all human beings, expresses the genuine intentions of Shakyamuni.
